Okay, I am in the same boat as the OP; however, I am going with the bulldozer. I just want to make sure a 850W will be sufficient. The one I am eyeballing is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207011

Will this be enough to overclock to about 5ghz, run 5HDDs, and 2 6950s? I ask because the PSU calculator I used (had to set CPU to 1100T) said I needed a 1062W PSU.

Have you tried the PSU Calc from this site ? Apparently everyone here swears by it. http://www.overclock.net/power-suppl...candidate.html it's a lot more detailed as to what items your using in your PC along with overclock or not.

I did just a moment ago. It did not have the bulldozer cpu on it. However, it did say I needed only 700W for the 1100T.

Yes, the XFX Core 850 is plenty even for Crapdozer..
