[GR] Sony Announces Mouse and Keyboard Controller for PS3 - Page 4

I have a Splitfish FragFX v2. for my PS3. It destroys a PS3 controller any way you look at it. However, compared to a PC mouse, it sucks. The reason it sucks is that it's trying to convert your mouse movements into joystick movements, so it's far from perfect. However, like I said, I dominate my buddies with their pads with it. The other half (non-mouse part) looks like a nintendo wii nunchuck... so this "keyboard" is better there as well.

If they are able to get the movement of a mouse down with this, I will buy one. It looks better made than my FragFX too. Hell the fragFX was 100 bucks anyway so I would pay a little more for a better made, better working mouse with official support.

I doubt it. Technical Limitations. Too much of a advantage if it did work.

The XIM3 I posted is almost 100% 1:1. they've overcome whatever limitations are there.

Like I mentioned, XIM3 is only slightly more expensive than the fragfx and offers support for almost any mouse/keyboard you can think of

Sorry that I sound like I'm advertising for the thing, I'm not, I don't even own one.

Or you could just a PS3 Eagleeye, using your know keyboard and mouse. It is also only $50 dollars.

Hmm! Now this may interest me buying a console for good. I don't currently own one cuz i perfer my computer but if this product gets good review i'm all for the console when i don't wanna use my pc from time to time. I do admit i miss owning a console. Sometimes it's fun playing other games PC don't have like Spiderman series and a few other games that isn't intended for PC. 1st person shooters, sticking with PC lol. Then again this should be a quite interesting experiment. You may have a mouse and keyboard but your stupid framerates are locked in the game rofl.

The PS1 had an official mouse by Sony, and the PS2 could use any standard USB mouse; unfortunately, not many games were compatible with it.

I've got one and it does work quite nice... the only downside is you have to spend about 30 mins setting it up for each game to get it perfect.

It's no question tons better then any other solution that exists currently. I'm not expecting this sony device to change that.
