Northbridge gaming performance?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could refer me to [My google searches have been rather fruitless] a chart, or perhaps tell me from knowledge what exactly the Northbridge will provide in terms of a performance boost? Will it help in games, or just general processing? How much of a difference would 2400 vs 3000 NB be performance wise?

Also, I've read raising you HT to 2200-2400 can improve crossfire performance a few places, and also read the opposite, any truth to this?

Please if you can refer me to any charts or guides do, sorry if I missed one somewhere.

Here you go, just so you know the performance will be negligible in gaming.

This will show you that you always keep HT as close to 2000 as possible.

Thank's a lot! Repped.

With performance in gaming being negligible what's the big jump on everyone to OC the NB? Is it just for the sake of the small bonus and the fact that well, we're OCN? tongue.gif

NB overclock from 2.2Ghz to 2.5Ghz for me personally in games reduced ripping and lifted my framerate 1-2 frames and increased my min. FPS 2.

Mafia 2 1080p.

test yourself to see.

real world gains results will vary between cpu's/gpu's configs.

I'm sure you will see some benefit increasing to 3000Mhz otherwise people wouldn't bother to OC......
