SGSII vs iPhone 4S [Video] - Page 6

Is it just me or does the 4s look outmatched?

Almost everything it does the G2 can do, isnt the G2 the older more outdated phone?

Seems like Apple is playing catch up and is depending on the network effect and switching costs of the itunes walled garden to keep customers, coupled with slick marketing.

The G2 seems criminally undermarketed by comparison.

A standard work day I am browsing while listening to about 2-4 hrs of music. Texting throughout and if I do take calls, they're usually very short. I've maybe had to use a charger at work like 3x in the past year?
This gets you 1.5-2 days worth though? That sounds fairly close to my weekends, and even then i'm still left with around 20% battery life. Did a little guesstimating as I don't use the browser ever on the iPhone 4, but make more/longer calls.

I usually only charge my phone before I go to bed. So for those occasions where I don't end up home the same night, I'll usually have 20% left or so around noon the next day. Granted, I am more conscious as to how I use my phone at that point.

Why do you think Apple is trying so hard to get it banned?

That video in no way demonstrates what Siri is capable of. The whole point of Siri is it doesn't matter how you ask it what you want. Yet the creator of the video used identical commands for both and never even explained that.

Additionally, you don't need to tell Siri the recipient of a text and then the message afterwards, you can say it all at once, contrary to what he said in the video.

Oh, and I noticed something which makes it somewhat unfair for the iPhone 4S when comparing app loading times and that is: iOS has animations for opening and closing apps which means in most scenarios even if the 4S loads an app at the same time as the SG2, it'll appear as if the SG2 wins because it has no animation.

EDIT: I've learned this is actually a setting on the SG2, and in my opinion it should have been turned on for better comparison.

Anandtech claims the sg2 is sub par. Not @ the level of a top smartphone let alone a music player.

The iP4s is probably flawless, as portable music is their thing.

You would think so eh? However, this is not a magical world where everything is fair and well.

Witness the guy who plunks down for a SG2 and gets below average audio quality.

I own an iPhone 4 myself, I could trade my used iPhone 4 16GB locked for an unlocked brand new SGSII and I'm not doing it, I kinda like my iPhone, all my college friends has one, the new features and apps like "Find my friends" is pretty neat so I'm keeping, might change later.

The iPhone 4S is pretty nice, but I would have preferred the leaked iPhone 5 prototype.
What is find my friends? Without googling it I bet it is just like google latitude
