well I would suggest MSI HD 6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC or as everyone suggested Toxic.

Hmm, well here's my specs:
Asus P8Z68-V Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb 1600 DDR3
i5 2500k
1(or 2) 6950's toxic
1080p monitor(Still haven't decided on which)

Current games I know I will be playing are Skyrim(and graphics mods when they come out), BF3, AC Revelations and any future demanding games maxed out completely and have playable fps, 40 minimum, prefer 55-60 and up

Not sure if 1 card can handle that

And I'm not sure if I'm going to get a 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 yet. But I heard 2 cards for BF3 aren't overkill

90-95%. 6000 series scales very well. 5000 series not so much.

Toxic would be my choice. I'll tell you why......

A little known fact:

Some of the Sapphire Dirt 3 6950's instead of Cayman chips are coming with Antilles. Either due to shortage of Cayman or over abundance of Antilles. Those Sapphire Dirt 3 6950's that show Antilles as the GPU are being laser cut to disable the shaders and are unlockable. So far those people who ended up with Antilles version cannot unlock.

Toxic's will unlock. That's why I say Toxic as your safest bet over possibility it won't unlock to 6970 being shipped with Antilles like the Dirt 3.

Some side thought:

I've heard the Toxics run hotter but GPU's can handle the heat, I wouldn't worry about that. Shrouded GPU's with vapor chamber cooling, (like my 580), though may run hotter itself than open casing dual fans, both still dissipate the same heat off the card. Only one blows the hot air exhaust out the rear air flow bracket and the other dumps it over your CPU and into your case rasing ambient temps.

Some people will prefer one type of cooling over another for different reasons.

The Toxics unlocked will still get a slight over clock past that. The Dirt 3's even if can't be unlocked, can be over clocked pretty heavily anyway due to the better cooling. So performance wise, similar performance. (If the Dirt 3 can be unlocked, it will slighlty over clock past the Toxic due to running cooler, are you a gambling man?).

Now the choice is yours. Either way it's a win win in my eyes and you'll be happy with your performance. One thing is your Sapphire choice either way is great. Sapphire rules for AMD cards IMO.
