SAPPHIRE 6950 Toxic as fast as reference 6970 - Page 2

I prefer reference cards. If you have proper spacing of course. My 6970's never go above 72 running BOINC, Crysis, etc. Running at 970/1450.

you can overclock it yourself easily. it's about the unlock rate and cooling which the toxic has although there are other alternatives like msi, etc. not sure about the unlock rate for those though

If the 2 cards are going to be sandwiched together, then I would definitely take the Toxic Edition because it vents air out the back of the case while the Dirt 3 Edition just dumps hot air back into the case.

Ya there will be one slot in between them... so I was thinking the Toxic too. The last time I sandwiched two dual fan cards together like that it was bad news.

Edit: I got one, this 6870 Hawk just isn't performing at the resolution I need. $20 Rebate + $10 off and free ship. Not too bad.
