CrossFireX setup (Final questions)

Thread Starter
Hi guys

Pardon If Im still asking the same but this will be the final topic!

Im going to change my PC to a CrossFireX setup. Here are the parts I will have in the end.

-XFX 650W XXX Edition
-XFX HD6870 Dual Fan
-Sapphire HD6870
-ASUS Crosshair IV Formula
-AMD Phenom II X4 965
-Corsair 8 GB DDR3-1600 Kit ( Maybe! )
-2x Aerocool Shark Fan 14cm Blue Edition
-1x Aerocool Shark Fan 12cm Blue Edition
-Sharkoon Dual CCFL Caselight 30cm
-Zalman CNPS9900A LED

So I finally decided to pick the 965 even with a bottleneck possibility! because of the nice price .

I would like to know these final things !
How bad will the 965 bottleneck be? I don't hope 20fps less
Second will that PSU still power this PC?
And is that after market cooler any good when Im going to overclock the cpu to 3.8ghz?

I would also like if you people should give a estimation on how well my PC would perform ! And if there are things that I might have to know.

Thanks all!
Overclocker.net is the best , You helped me so much where others failed

The 650w should be enough for a pair of AMD GPUs, The 965 is a decent CPU, and it will work well with that setup, but you will lose a little frame-rate, but it'll still be plenty for your gaming.

You'd be much better off with an i5 2500k, Z68 and a single 570...

But...

Questions?

1) 965 will be a filthy bottleneck ~ Much more then 20FPS, give or take game/res/settings?

2) PSU will be fine. I would have gone with the Corsair HX650, but i'm a Corsair f****i.

3) Why 3.8GHz? Gain will be minimal, at best. I get 4.4GHz on a 955... And my gains are average at best. Cooler is kinda terrible. Where do you shop? Go for A70, NH-U12P SE2, NZXT HAVIK 140...

It will perform ok. Fast enough for day to day computing, sure. Lackluster in gaming, yeah a little.

1090T will be better. 1100T if possible.

Nice board for OC, 1100T would be great on it with a decent cooler (That Zalman is not)

EDIT: Refer to my edited post

The 1090T/1100T seem the closest thing for AMD to the i5 in benchmarks.

Not sure on the heat output with X6. Never had one to OC before. I assume they're very manageable, but tbh, that cooler has like...4 pipes?

We roll with 16 these days like a boss.

That cooler was from older CPU generations. You really want something that does better for any stable, low temp, OC.
