In MDPCs instructions they say wrap wire with white electrical tape, it just seemed like it would make a mess to me.

i don't know man, it just seems like there's a way to do it without all the trouble. for reference, here's my rig (not whoring this)...i didn't sleeve a single cable. just a few extensions. i know it's cheating, but it does the trick if you can manage the cables.

Really nice case biggrin.gif
Sadly mine has almost no cable management space biggrin.gif. I think ill spend the time doing it right with white cables and sleeving. It's good practice too.

hahahahahaha....sorry....i laugh because the Lian Li A05N has about the worst cable management available...the false wall behind the PSU is the magic in the mod for this case. it's easy to make, but man i am so surprised that Lian Li didn't just include it in their newest A05...modder's paradise.

Having JUST sleeved my cables with MDPC white I can give you my experience. The website is absolutely correct when they say to tape the cables. I used white electrical tape, 3/4" cut in half works perfectly. I just took a bread knife and cut the whole roll in half so I wouldn't have to cut pieces in half individually. If you don't use the tape there is serious bleed with the white sleeve. It just doesn't look good. I pulled the sleeve taunt across different colors and you can tell very clearly what's underneath. It takes a lot of time to wrap the tape, but if you do it right it looks awesome. It took me almost a full 24 hours worth of work to tape and sleeve this thing, but I think the white is amazing, I wouldn't look back. I'll include a photo of my rig with the caviot that I'm still working on cable management and I only took this super crappy photo to post trying to get ideas so please don't judge from this photo. Just look at the sleeving above the PSU onto the mobo, not down below, that's going to be covered. If you want I have some extra sleeve, I could take a photo of the sleeve over some different colored wires if you're not convinced. Hope this helps.

So is the tape wrapped in a spiral like on a tennis racket? Could you please send me a pic please.
Thanks for offering the sleeve but unless you leave in Switzerland it's not really worth it because of shipping costs. The sleeving doesn't cost that much and neither does the shipping form mdpc-x.

Thanks for the info and the offer smile.gif

Lol, I meant I had some extra cable so I could take photos, not send it to you. Although I'm in Switzerland all the time. I live in north Italy. Anyway, the way I taped was I cut a 3/4" roll of white electrical tape in half and ran the tape longways down across the cable, then wrapped one side of the tape all the way down, then the other. It's not messy at all and looks quite nice when finished. Here are some photos, I had to get creative to take a picture of the sleeving pulled tight so I used one of my Nikon lenses and a book I had sitting around. Sorry they aren't better, my 60mm macro lens recently died so I'm waiting for the new one to get here. I had to use my 85mm and shoot from a distance so a couple of the shots aren't in great focus, but you get the idea.

If you use any color you should match the wire with the same color.
Yeah MDPC-x sleeves are tightly woven but if you were to put a white wire behind white sleeving it will pop out more in color vs black wire and white sleeving.
