I'm sorry, but I don't see the problem. I don't like it when marketing guys come along and hype, hype, hype, and lie, lie, lie and leave the customer guessing. I'd rather see real evidence of AMDs successes and failures through review sites and my fellow members.

In my opinion, nothing of value was lost.

If he didn't -know- IPC went down he shouldn't have been INSISTING otherwise. Especially when people were pointing out reasons it may have in fact went down (which turned out to be much more accurate than his hype.)

How many times did JF say "I don't comment on client"? More than I can count.

It was the fanboys, myself included, that hyped this thing. If anything, we deserve the hate mail. Hell, he had to correct Seronx and his math as much as he corrected anybody criticizing it. And look how Seronx turned like he was never one of the major contributors to spreading the hype.

In the end, I learned not to judge performance by a bunch of pretty slides and architecture information, so it wasn't a complete loss.
I dont know why people dont seem to get this through their heads.

He man up on his mistakes, unlike the little kids around here going around harrassing him with pms, emails, and quips through posts in other threads.
Makes me wonder why I keep straying from xtremesystems to come here....

unless it was harrassment which in this case, OCN mods have banned people for lesser crap.
A small portion of the people that sent those email are probably harassing him.

You should start practicing your "Would you like fries with that" line!

Since it went over your head, I'll break it down for you. He released information while the product was still in development and was forwarding what he had been told. If you do some research, you can easily find that he's already stated publicly that the design was changed and that the IPC wasn't higher as he was originally told. If you're unwilling to accept change from a developing product and are simple minded enough to believe it was intentionally meant to mislead you, then perhaps you can explain to us what he would gain from doing so? I'd love to hear your rational explanation.

I'm not going into a discussion about JF because it's trivial but he lied to a lot of people or maybe i should use "Conned" or was "Deceptive" to a lot of people.

A major company lying to their customer base there's a shock. I'm not surprised about people being pisssed off but sending hate/troll PM/emails really get a life. Go google for some porn if your that stressed over Cpu performance.

Exactly. So many people gave valid counter arguments in a constructive manner, the least he could have done was either a) respond in a professional and dignitary manner using substantial fact based points, or b) not said anything at all instead of simply insisting otherwise.

Only he didn't lie to them. AMD might have, but he did not. He never gave any numbers. He would constantly push the NDA, and said that stating anything one way or the other would violate it. He couldn't give any info, and people believed what they wanted to believe.

There's a big difference between expressing anger and attacking someone/harassing them. So, yes, they should be banned.

you've read the last post in akozak's blog?
you've see the fake comparison with intel on slides and video on the official channel?
the entire marketing campaign is a lie
this man had to correct its declarations before the review ... now no one will believe him
