I need a ps3 controller

Well, I have a sudden urge to play my ps3 again, but I can't because someone stole both of my DS3 controllers. The only controller I have for the PS3 is my Driving Force GT, but I cant play any of my fps games with that. I was reading some reviews on some of the 3rd party controllers, but from the reviews I read most of them have a pretty large dead zone. So, are there any PS3 controllers that work flawlessly with the PS3?

Do not buy them.

Most of them work. But for how long... Most wireless versions don't even connect properly. They either keep losing connection or won't connect at all. If you are getting a 3rd party one, get a Mad Catz version with the cheating turbo rubbish.

Keep an eye out on Slickdeals.net. These have been going on sale pretty regularly lately for cheap. Actually, all of the accessories have been going on sale lately. There are some great deals out there, so just buy the good one instead of trying to save a few bucks on a knockoff.

I've seen official controllers for like $30 online at times. You had might be able to find one in the marketplace too.

I honestly couldn't ever stand to use of 3rd party controllers... I've had too many bad experienced with poor reception, input lag, horrible battery life, cheap build quality, etc#

Of course there are some good ones it's not worth the risk(to me atleast) and the good ones run near the price of an official controller.

Thanks guys. I think I will either buy an XCM adapter for my x360 controller or just buy another ds3, and replace the triggers and analog sticks with better ones. Which path should I take?

EDIT: I chose the former route. Thanks again for the information about the quality of 3rd party controller manufacturers everyone.
