Oh boy!
Where did you get the 4100?
And are you going to be overclocking the RAM as well?
It seemed like Bulldozer benefited from increased frequencies if I remember correctly.

AMD FX-4100
Asus Sabertooth 990FX(latest BIOS)
Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz 9-9-9-11T 2GB
2X Gigabyte 560Ti Nvidia
Win 7 Ultimate Trial (32bit)

My objective is are how good the performance only in games, plus full cores benching & 1CU/1C benching.Unfortunately, today not enough time to test it due to late night at shop.the promise it will test it tomorrow.

Note:my spec will be limited due restricted to borrow too much, hope guys can only see it at stock speed only.

So guys here what games u prefer to test it?i need a suggestion which is good to initialize cpu bound games?

as i know-> Crysis, Starcraft 2 and Arma 2.
i will only listed the result between full core in CU & 1CU/1C(cause the way to see BD single thread performance. So u will see result plus picture tomorrow.
I've heard that bulldozer perfomed awfully(not upto the mark) when they were tested on asus/gigabyte boards, may be this was due to a bios problem but bulldozer performed beautifully on asrock & msi boards,so skip the asus mobo & try asrock, you can't go wrong with asrock, they are great.I would say get amd fx6100 & pair it with asrock 990fx extreme3 gen3.

my country is in Malaysia.....so i will easy to get stock faster here.i only test with games,to see it lower or higher performance compare to P2 when enable 1CU/1C in games.i hope BD got chances in light thread app.as me i buy CPU also for games mostly.
Great to hear. I am anxious to see how the 4100 will do in actual games, I am hoping it will be the ticket for me. There are plenty of FX benchmarks around in games where the settings are all set very low to try to isolate the CPU to test it only, and I personally don't have any use for those. I am interested in how the FX will perform in a typical hardware setup that a Gamer would use and seeing some tests of how the 4100 will perform in real games using high resolutions (1920x1024 and higher).

In particular I am interested to see how the 4100 will do in a proper Scorpius platform setup with a 6000 series card and 900 series motherboard. On my personal wishlist for a real game test would be for you to match the 4100 with a 6790 (not a typo) and test it in some current games, particularly Shogun2. That, and then a Shogun2 test with two 6790.s crossfired. I plan on getting another 6790 in the near future, these have turned into a great bargain at $90 onsale here in the US lately.

you could do a time demo of left 4 dead 2 with graphics set to the lowest settings.

enable the console

when in game open the console and type

record amdfx

then just play the game for a while and then type

stop

you will have a file called amdfx.dem now in left 4 dead 2/left4dead2

you can then replay the demo at max FPS using the command

playdemo amdfx

then just do the same thing with another chip using the same minimum graphics settings

and you'll have a comparison.

p.s. make sure Multicore Rendering is enabled in options & vsync is off
