Indeed

So if you walked into the store. Bought a CPU and found out when you got home that it had been opened and used then sold to you a full price. You wouldn't throw a fit?

im not testing my 970 yet,but due to reviews at web, seems is minimal different.
let say if using a FX-8150 turn it into 1CU/1C=4 threads similiar performance in game with P2 quad core clock speed.BUT how about overclock it in performance?rolleyes.gif

Hopefully a translation error. I don't mind buying open box/recert gear, knowing it is that, but paying for spankin' new full retail on something and finding out it's been run around the block just to play with it would make me mad.gif face!

It's not our concern what and how he deal with his customers, I'm sure he knows what he doing.
Testing that's what this Thread about.

i am smile.gif ..the asus bios may not be mature..but the fx4100..is the worst chip i've ever bought..NO it doesn't unlock..sure..it clocks kinda high..but generally ones overclocks to get more performance..and there is simply no performance to be had

ironman86: Nice to see such nice improvements also on the 41xx's in this 1 core per CU mode (I was thinking it will be efficient enough only on the 81xx's with twice the number of CU's), and also that it wasn't even needed to disable the cores in the BIOS!

Although, IMHO you should also try with all cores on, to see if in some cases more cores were still better, even with CMT.

BTW, you're always writing "improvement from a to b", but it's rather the other way around, isn't it? smile.gif
