990x

Okay just built a new system spent too much money but wanted to get something good that will last a while and have the best upgrade options. Im wondering though if its worth OC'ing the cpu? the video cards came OC'd already and have them in SLI is there maybe a stand alone Phsyx(not sure on spelling) card that is an option? sorry for all the questions. This is such a sweet setup I have played a few games today with ultra/high settings and omg...... coming from a dual core 3.2 with 4gb ram and a 9600gt this is like a whole new world.

1. Overclock the CPU? Only if it starts to bottleneck you in games, which, for a 990x could literally be five or six years from now....
Now some people overclock their CPU just because. And that's respectable, too! But I would say that the only reason to ever do so would be if it starts to show 80%+ usage when gaming. Then you could perhaps want some more headroom...

2. A PhysX card is probably not necessary. SLI'ed 560ti's are going to power through whatever you put them up against on a single monitor. And the twin Frozr is simply awesome.

Is that everything? Anything else?

You say you spent a lot so you could have the best upgrade options. Are you aware that LGA 1366 is a EOL socket?

Does it matter?
The 990X has plenty of power, not to mention. Plenty of OC'ablilty to sustain it for quite some time.
