Extend HDMI With Ethernet Cables Up To 330 ft

The Toolbox KVM Extender consists of two devices, one sender and one receiver box. The sender is connected to a PC via HDMI and USB 2.0 and the receiver via HDMI to an HDTV display. the two boxes are then connected using two CAT-5 cables to transfer HD video data.

this does not surpise me cause satalites use somthing like it to run stuff to all tvs in a house then they connect to a box.

Brilliant, I wonder if this could even work over say a switched network. Allowing me to push all of my data down a VLAN designed for Video at 1Gb/s/10Gb/s through the switch company of your choice. (Cisco guy here)

im using this right now. A powered adapter that works flawlessly (I tried unpowered it won't work for long distances)

Do you need to run multiple CAT5e/CAT6 cables to do this? I was wanting to keep my media PC in the closet but its too far for HDMI, perhaps I could use this, but I only have one CAT5e drop to the TV...
