i7-990x-Differernt Core Temps.

Thread Starter
I have been running my new system for about 6 hours now and my temps are varied between cores. seems to be that cores 1,2,3 are sitting at 34c core 4 is 36c cores 5,6 are 37c. is this okay? this is at Idle, haven't really been measuring during usage.(although I should) Also I've been trying to find out more about RAM the timings on mine is 9-9-9-24 at 1600mhz. really this is just a powerhouse gaming rig and I want everything to be "at best" performance. any ideas?

That's perfectly fine, you will never get the exact same heat transfer between every core.
Just for example, a slight change in the TIM on the core can cause this, or the way the cooler was machined, etc.

Not a problem, the fact that they are so close together in values is a good sign.
