Silly Question, but I can't find the answer!

Thread Starter
Hey Guys (and Gals), I need your help again!

Here is my question; When I play videogames in full screen mode, does my desktop slideshow (in Windows 7) keep going? (and use up GPU power?)

It seems like such a simple question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere!

Thanks Overclock.net!

(The reason I ask is that I just got my third monitor for surround setup and enjoy having backgrounds of pretty women change + in surround mode, I need the GPU focused on one thing!-the game!)

Your background will continue to shuffle while you are playing games, but not to worry about any resource drain. As for me, I like a lightening quick system and run my rig in Windows Classic Theme with all animations disabled. My computer is not a "super computer" by any standards but it does rank in the top 8 precent at PCPitstop's system diagnostics. It's free too. I've been using it for years. DO NOT BUY anything while you are there, just run the diagnostics and install the ActivX when prompted. (yes the site is clean)
