I'd recommend trying both of them out, but ultimately I think the 4S is the better choice -- but I don't really know what you want so I couldn't say without you telling me more.

I've got one here and I can say that the 4S is really snappy. Games already look pretty great on the iPhone 4S but once they take advantage of its faster graphics they'll look even more amazing.

I might be able to answer any questions if about it if you want. Maybe even run a few tests.

There are actual torrent apps as well. If you wanted you could just download your stuff on your phone overnight at ~0.1W instead of 150W and save a butt load of power.

Android has better codec support, choice of players, and once rooted DSP with a graphic equalizer. You can also just drag and drop music files without having to use a proprietary program to load them on.

Although Samsung supposedly cheaped out on the SGS II's DAC, so your Captivate probably sounds a lot better.

Easy if you like to to take the time to read up on things and customize your phone then go with the galaxy if not go with the iphone4s.

Also I don't know what that dude meant by his galaxy s2 always crashs and the battery drains fast my gs2 never crashed once and there are ways to lower the battery consumption if you aren't lazy

Lets see, your on OCN, so im going to assume the angle of "specs > all".

The Galaxy S2 has:
A faster CPU (dual 1.2ghz vs. dual 800mhz)
2x more RAM (1gb vs. 512mb)
A much higher rez front camera (2mp vs. vga)
A bigger screen (also its AMOLED)
It runs a much better, open source, OS
You can overclock on android (I've overclocked my Moto Milestone/droid to 885mhz from 550)
Its lighter
Its thinner
There are more free apps on android
The android market is growing much faster than the AppStore

Thank you I don't get all the hating for the S2. Got my S2 on the day of release at AT&T. The phone boots fast, has native flash support and all flash streaming websites work. I use the dolphin browser with the user agent set to desktop and all websites correctly identify my phone as desktop and they all display correctly with all the animations etc. I never thought I'd see the day where I get actual desktop browsing experience on my phone. Not to mention AT&T 4G is actually fast where I am.

That's a tough decision. Both are remarkable phones. I honestly would've gotten the Galaxy S2 if Verizon carried it, but they don't. I don't really like Motorola, and none of the HTC phones enticed me, so I went iPhone 4S.

I'd say iPhone 4S, by a small margin.
