Getting an M4 this week. Questions...

1. I've seen a few guides telling how to set it up as boot with another HDD for storage. What is the best way/guide to use? (I am prepared for a new install)

2. Do I need to level up my mobo to 6GB/PS for this?

3. Does I need a specific Sata cable? Are there different kinds? Will it come with one?

No you don't however they perform better with a 6gb sata board.

Thanks! I don't think it's too hard for me to level up to 6gb so should I just go ahead and do it?

I'm not sure what you mean by this? Are you talking about ram? 6gb Sata motherboards either come with it, or they don't I don't know how you would level up to it.

Edit: If you are talking about RAM, It has nothing to do with this. Don't waste your money on ram.

And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. All SATA cables are created equal.

No, my mobo has a thing to level up to default, then USB3.0, then sata 6gb/ps. I'm at usb3.0 now. I'm just wondering how big the difference will be using sata 6gb verses sata 3gb.

What's with all this talk of leveling up? Is maintaining an SSD like a video game now?
