I've looked up your mobo and yes it supports sata 6gb, You're good to go! The difference might not be noticeable in the real world. It shows on benchmarks though. I'd say to use 6gb sata port you have nothing to loose only to gain

Oh my, do not! use that other guide, it is terrible! Just follow the pone I posted and change your personal folders locations to the secondary hard drive.

And only use the native intel sata ports on your mobo.

Those are the Marvell controlled ports, they do not support trim. I suggest you use the other sata 2 ports.

1. Either clone your current install or just reinstall Windows on your new SSD.
2. If your mobo doesn't support SATA 3 either buy a PCIE adapter or just use SATA 2.

Just does it come with the latest firmware? Install firmware before or after windows?

It may come with .0009 but if it doesn't the upgrade process is very easy.

And I don't think it matters man, I did it after I already had Windows installed.
