New build

Thread Starter
I'm getting together a new pc for skyrim. I prefer reliability over preformance. Here's what I've got so far. Feel free to comment or suggest a better build for around the same price.

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=15184985

I still need a video card. I'm really not wanting to spend more than $250 for a video card right now. I was thinking that a reference card would be best because it blows the hot air out of the case. Any suggestions?

I also need a decent power supply to power this bad boy. I really don't know what to look for. Suggestions are once again needed.

Finally, I need an operating system. I was thinking about Windows 7 Home Premium OEM. I'm confused on the license situation though. Can you install an OEM OS more than one time? For instance my motherboard dies and I replace it with a new one. Can I reinstall the OEM operating system?

560ti - Then SLI later on, the 650watt psu is enough for SLI

They aint blower style though, so the air stays in the case, Air flow in that case is nice though so internal exhaust wont be a problem.

You could possibly save money by keeping your old keyboard and speakers as well as your dvd drive. Unless of course you are still going to be using the old stuff

If your motherboard dies and you get a new one, I believe you have to call microsoft and activate windows over the phone not 100% sure as i haven't done it for windows 7.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

What advantages would the 2gb 6950 have over a 1gb 560ti? I don't really have a preference (AMD/Nvidia) either way.

What video card would be better at 1080p?

AMD 6950 2gb or Nvidia 560ti 1gb?

It looks like they are pretty close in terms of Benchmarks, So you can choose which you like more Nvidia or AMD
