In Linux where this originally started it was around 3%, which is about the same gains there are within windows 8, which is actually aware of the bulldozer design I believe.

If any of this is true why wouldn't AMD said something by now with all the review sites posting such poor reviews. Surly they did do some sort of in-house testing and how they achieved it? If they had a magic fix it would be plastered all over the net.
AMD already defended the results and tried to play spin doctor with BF3 beta results.
AMD isn't in denial, their fans are.
