Pls recommend a super quiet PSU

Hi guys,
I've got another thread going which explains my problem: http://www.overclock.net/power-suppl...ery-noisy.html

Can you please recommend the quietest PSU available in Australia around the - 600-700wattage range?

My current choice would be the Corsair HX-650 (from a recommendation in the thread).

And oh....count coolermaster out in the recommendation.

Depends on your budget, but the Seasonic X650 is probably your best bet there.

Yep, list your budget and the shop/s you'll be buying from.

Check this thread:

I have the Kingwin rebrand version and the fan hasn't turned on once since I've had it. I powered two GTX480s in SLI @750 core with this puppy and it didn't blink.

Super quiet.

If you make your PC super quiet, you will just make your mouse clicking and keyboard sound much louder

I tried to make a quiet pc so I could game through the night, but the missus cannot get to sleep, so I turn the GPU fans right up so its noisy, its more of an air conditioning noise, and she adjusts to the level of the sound because its a flat sound, rather then a piercing sound like mouse clicking or keyboard typing, and it makes the mouse and keyboard seem quieter too her. thats assuming your building a gaming pc though I assume. If your building a HTPC, then just get a fanless/passive one. If its a gaming pc, the PSU is hardly ever the culprit of noise anyhow, its usually the GPU, then the CPU comes in second... generally... (PSU's are only noisy when its a old computer, or a very cheap powersupply)

something to think about

edit: id just recommend anything seasonic, thats a very good brand, my seasonic 750w m12d is a good one

i opened the case while the game was running and it sure sounded like it came from the PSU - i could hardly hear from the MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk and the CPU - and the PSU fan was turning like it's on overload or something frantic. It's definitely the PSU.

I find the prices at Centrecom quite reasonable - of course it fluctuates between products - but there were the cheapest across most products for me at the time i went with them 3 weeks agoa.

So the Thermaltake Toughpower XT 775W is a quiet/silent unit? Please confirm. Do you happen to know how it might compare with the Corsair HX-650 where another forum poster said the Corsair was so quiet he thought the fan wasn't working.......

Seasonic. Hybrid fan is awesome.

This, without a doubt the quietest PSU in the world. I have it. It's incredible.

Didn't see the watt range you were after.
Seasonic X-Series is the way to go.
