constructive criticism on my build? :D - Page 3

Stop letting all the pollyanna's talk you out of a rosewill power supply. They do make some shoddy models, and were known for having gremlins but they have stepped up there game in the past 2-3 years. I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182101that one, and it has been flawless.

I am going to be purchasing the same PSU soon. So if someone can actually provide links instead of "because I know so", that would be appreciated.
I base my opinion off the fact that they don't have the best track record for PSU's. The price difference between them isn't very big so personally i'd rather stick with a recognizable brand that has a proven track record of quality PSU's.

You should know that companies sometimes get better over time. Give Rosewill some slack.

It might be flawless so far, doesn't mean it's well made.

I typically disregrard newegg reviews, but over 20% of the reviews rated a 1-star and barely 60% with a 5-star. Especially with so many that are DOA.

The PSU is one thing, IMO, that shouldn't be overlooked.

So much fail in this thread on the PSU....

The Rosewill HIVE unit is a wonderful PSU that is based off of the OCZ ZS platform. I use Rosewill regularly in build because they are just so hard to beat for the price. I'm talking about the Green/HIVE/Xtreme/Lighting series. The CAPSTONE series is yet to be decided. the rest is either mediocre or crap.

Corsair is not ALWAY'S great with their PSU's. They have made some bad choices like getting rid of the CX400 that is made by Seasonic and switching to the worse and often problomatic CX430 made by CWT.
