Remember the fake i7 920 incident at newegg?
Reputable sites aren't necessarily immune to mistakes and trickery.

Just return it, something like this is likely to be bad for their image, let them know how dissapointed you are and they should return it at their expense, possibly with some form of compensation (a coupon or something), don't push for this though, its likely they got screwed over by a supplier. Contacting them ASAP will ensure nobody else gets caught out.

Thread Starter
since there is still a topic on anatech and this post shows up 2nd on google for "fake GT 240" I wanted to explain a few things.

Basically this card was a 7300GT 256 flashed to GT 240 1GB.

I know you can edit the bios in nibitor, but how did the person modify the drivers that came on the CD so it would reaD as a gt 240 and actually work, but if u used nvidia's drivers via website it won't work

I just wanted to figure out a way so people could flash these to the actual card, but I dont even know what the ID's on this card are, etc. What programs did the person most likely use to do this?
