I dont see how it would kill it tho... unless it some how messes with the boards bios.

As with any BIOS flashing, when the motherboard backup BIOS kicks in without user awares of it, he might reset or shutdown during the process will definitely brick the board BIOS due to flash failure.


Edit:

OP, pull CMOS battery out for couple of hours see if it would reset it.

Yes, you need to rename it to either "stock.rom" or "stock.bin", atiflash can execute those extensions.

BTW, the BIOS you flashed it to is older than your stock BIOS. Just don't know why you did that.

well my friend told me that and when i got home i did just that(came back home with working 5850). mobo working again :0) but was kinda almost excited to upgrade to a asus saboortooh x58 with 6gb of patriot memory and i think he said i7 960(new egg its close to $500) all for $325ish (mobo only 3 hours old lol)
