To water cool or not to water cool ? - Page 4

RASA kits are great. Just take your time when your putting it in and make your tubing cuts square and you will be ok.
Dont stick with the tubing that comes with the rasa kit it plasticizer fast then you have brown tubing some times in as little as two weeks. Use one of these but try to stick with 7/16 tubing it makes a good fit with 1/2 barbs. Just use distilled water for coolant and add a Killcoil to your res it will work fine

Neither an RX series or a 360 size will fit in his case. Up top you can only fit a slim 240.

OP: If your willing to wait a week or two, XSPC is coming out with new rad's, the EX series. Supposed to be RX performance in the RS size. Skinnee is supposed to be testing them soon. Also, on another forum, XSPC-Paul said they may offer a high end kit along side the RASA that has the Raystorm and EX series rads in it.

You will probably have to get creative, and use either an EX or RS AND another rad somewhere else. Either a RX120 on the back or a 200MM in the front fan area.

Any thoughts on that ?

Also, does the GPU blocks come with the barbs and what not ? Or is it just the block on its own ?
my thought= I like ..i dunno..get some 1/2" id barbs and tubing anyway my block didn't come with barbs..

Build your self a custom loop, find out what rad.s will fit in side your case
research CPU and GPU blocks

If your concerned about leaks then use 1/2 O.D. barbs and 7/16 I.D. tubing

My 470 is W.C. and it never goes over 50c., no matter what OC or voltage I push through it, My CPU stays under 58c. with HT on, below 50 with HT off

Yea, similar to how others have done. Can you include the link to that? I'd like to see what res/pump combo he is running.

Here are a couple of other 650D builds.

http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...sair-650d.html

If you end up going with an RS or GTS up top, you will want AP-15 fans, which means you will probably want to mount your 120 rad outside the case, since the AP's are fairly deep fans. If the EX works like I hope, you could probably use thinner Yate-Loon low to medium speed fans and mount it inside.

hey mate here is the link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NVIDIA-GTX-5...47580922445038

kind of an awesome pc if you ask me but slightly overpriced ahaa.

thanks for the links looks like ill go full custom and wont buy a bundle, as im going to need thinner radiators if im looking at having gentle typhoons on each radiator.

One more question i know this may sound silly im look for a res which already has a pump inside and this one here does right ?

So I'm looking at purchasing these two Koolance rads and was wondering if theyre any good. Both are thinner ones to fit in my 650D case

Damn, that picture shows a different fan controller than what is listed in the specs :/. Oh well.

No, that is just a sample image of what it would look like. The fine print at the bottom of the page says pump not included.

Someone with more experience can chime in, but honestly with a CPU and 2 GPU's, I don't think any of the pump's that are built into the res already will provide enough flow to reach the 1-1.5gph sweet spot. You could buy the res and something like a MCP350 and install it in the res maybe. Not 100% sure on that one though.
