Kombuster Konfusion?

I'm overclocking my PNY 450GTS Fermi edition using MSI Afterburner and stress testing with 10 minute intervals using Kombuster. Starting from 783, I bumped the core clock (linked to shader clock.. can't unlink it) +10 increments and tested it each time as usual. When I got to 903, Kombuster crashed after a couple minutes so I scaled it back to 893 and adjusted using +2 increments to get a more precise value. For some reason, I got curious and bumped it up to 903 again, and Kombuster passed after 20 minutes of testing.

Bumped the core clock +10 increments to 913 and it crashed. Scaled it back to 903 and it crashed again. Went down to 901: passed.

I'm running a test on 903 again as I typed this and it's been going on for 10 minutes without crashing.

Any ideas on what I should trust?

Kombustor, furmark, and the like are pretty much useless are far as stress testing is concerned.

I've found that Dirt 2 (not sure about Dirt 3) could crash my card when all the other games didn't. Might want to give that a shot, seems like the source engine in that game is especially stressful or something.

Are you adjusting voltages after you get the crash? MY GTS 450's need to have 1.100v to be able to run at 900c/1800s/1900m.

After every "crash" (when it says the nvidia driver has restarted) i restart my PC to have a fresh driver on memory.

No, I'm trying to find my limit as to how far I can go before I need to adjust the voltages.

No voltages have been adjusted yet and I'm trying 905 right now. No problems so far at 7 minutes.

Edit: Got a crash, lol.
