Is that an air pocket at the pump inlet I see? If I recall that little half circle baffle had a tendency to trap air and tipping the pump was needed to flush it through. Maybe not but just check..prerty unlikely you would get a bad second pump that was new and that rattle noise just sounds dry.

I've tilted this pump in almost every direction short of being completely sideways. I did get a few bubbles from the rads, but nothing from the actual pump. There is a small bubble on that half round acrylic pump, but I had one of those on my old pump and it was never a problem. I know it sounds dry, but i don't think there is air in there.

Its broken. I was running mine with feser one for around 14 months then switched to distilled water and it started making that noise.

Btw take it out and just link abit of tube from out let > in and just leave it running on the floor. mine did shut up after about 2 hours but i gave it a tap and it started going again making exact same noise

Maybe the feser soup killed it! But i just threw mine in the bin. but ye RMA it again.

This just looked like more than a little bubble, but if it's flowing water then maybe it is just a bad pump...not sure?

I would just suggest tipping the case or reservoir completely to the right so it's standing on end and that air can walk out of the half moon baffle.

By the looks of the video and sound I would guess the pump is air locked. That inlet baffle is a bit of a pain to work with. That sound just feels so much like air lock to me. My aquarium filter sounds exactly like that when I let the water get too low and it locks with air.

Sorry, the first video I uploaded the pump had a protective faceplate film on it that made it looks like there was a lot of air in it. I took the kit apart and just ran some tube from the inlet back to the outlet. There is still some air in there, but I made sure to tilt the pump so absolutely no air was in the pump itself. Made a vid.

Pack that thing back up its seen better days. The pump is near silent under water, Well was for me when i had it.
