Safe to fold 16 hours a day on this PSU?

I am using the TX750v2 PSU. I just want to make sure this is a good quality PSU and that it won't cause any damage to my system being used for many hours a day.

Corsair makes quality units. I fold 24 hours a day on a OCZ 700w ModxStream, no problems.

Yes. You'll only draw like 300-350w from the PSU.

You should be just fine with that PSU, corsair power supply's are always good quality. Plus your system should not be using more than 400 watts at full load anyways

Thanks for fast reply's. I know this isn't in the folding section but I have a few questions. I will be using my sig rig:

1. Right now I am only folding on my CPU. If I fold on my GPU as well, will my PPD increase at all?

2. How much (just an estimate) will my electricity bill go up folding 10-16 hours a day on my CPU and GPU?

3. Is it okay to fold while I am outside of the house? I don't want my PC catching on fire or anything and bringing the house down with it.

1. Not with an AMD card.

2. Not sure, I fold in my college dorm

3. Yes! I used to think like this the first time I left my and my girlfriends computer I built to fold for a whole weekend while we went back home.

CPU power consumption is really not that much compared to the average GPU. even with a heavy OC it's only like leaving a few incandescent lightbulbs on for 16 hours a day [which you probably already do...turn them off!] which really shouldn't affect your power bill in any meaningful way.

and no, don't fold with amd cards. they're terribly inefficient at it

What do you mean by inefficient? Do they not get a lot of points?

I do have a GTS 450 which is lying around collecting dust but I can't be bothered to open my chassi and change my GPU when I am gaming.

You're psu will be fine.

AMD is terrible for folding because the use an entire core and only get a couple thousand ppd. Well except on the core 16 WU's then I get 10k on my 5850/E7500. Still don't bother with it and just fold on the cpu.

Yes use the GTS 450. It's MUCH better at folding then AMD.

Edit: You're PSU will be fine if you leave the GTS 450 at idle while you game. Heck you can even fold on it while gaming...
