I forgot to mention as well, your x58 board doesn't have a real Sata 6gb/s connection. The Marvell 6gb/s is really capped at 5gb/s so whatever sequential numbers is advertised you'd never get close to anyway.

Whoa, that's a bummer. 5Gbps is still 625MBps though, so I don't think I have much to worry about until single SSDs break that barrier.
