Question about electricity passing through VGA cable

Thread Starter
I was thinking about making a few changes to a VGA cable that I have while a computer is turned on and transmitting information via the VGA cable to a 60hz TV. This is mainly for fun, but I want to make sure I won't kill myself or anything. I'll be using rubber gloves and various things like that.

I know don't know much about electricity, but I am wondering if enough passes through the wire that it will harm or kill you if touched (with the anti-electric plastic coating removed) while it is plugged into a GPU and TV.

You need x100 of that to commit suicide. Get a DC Voltmeter to know for sure and get yourself covered.

Edit:

Shorting any of the wiring will kill your card.

That's why I will be using a very old system I was going to throw out anyway smile.gif. It has a crappy AGP card. Thanks for the info, +rep. I think we have a voltmeter lying around somewhere.
