But of course.. drivers and game is beta.. so it can change dramatically but for now.. it will choke u.
+rep, i needed some sort of idea and it just reassures me knowing you have the setup you have

won't you get better frames (at same settings/res) if you had a i5/i7 2500/2600k @ 4.5-5GHz?
so let's say i turn my res down from 2048x1536@75Hz -> 1600x1200@85Hz and aim for 85FPS constant, will that be a fair goal to shoot for with SLI 470s?

Why come down in res if you have great framerates at your desired res? Plus the I5 at 4.5gz should be more than fine for that sli combo. It will be the best chance you have at maxing them out.

True, Bad Company 2 BLEW ME AWAY when I switched from 1280x1024 -> 2048x1536. My jaw dropped, and I literally had the most awesome experience playing online. I like CRTs a lot, and don't think I'm ready for a 120Hz LCD (yet).

It is in my opinion that the game is much more gpu bound than cpu bound a new processor might yield higher fps but I doubt so considerably. The 1600x1200@85hz is a much more realistic and obtainable goal provided your cpu doesn't bottleneck the sli setup. Remember, the i7s will scale much better for sli than the older cpus.
