help with gtx 560 ti / gtx 470

Thread Starter
Hello, I am new to this site so please be patient if I ask some obvious questions

I know there has been alot of threads about these 2 graphic cards, especially comparing them to each other. I am planning on buying a new graphic card and i have found this 3 cards for a relative same price.

MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC, 1GB ... 217€ (299$)
http://www.bolha.com/nvidia-graficne...glas1274334413

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti OC, 1024MB ... 209€ (288$)
http://www.bolha.com/nvidia-graficne...glas1273138136

Zotac GeForce GTX 470 AMP! Edition, 1280MB ... 195€ (269$)
http://www.bolha.com/nvidia-graficne...glas1272657412

I would like to know if Zotac or MSI are good cards, if they have any cons,..
Also I have read that alor of ppl had problems with the gtx560ti. (because of being OC'd, it resulted in ppl turning clock back to factory settings)

Ty for your input in advance.

Firstly welcome to ocn!

Go for the 560ti twin frozr, its the better graphics card, but it has the best air cooled cooler on it.

I had a zotac 470 and it ran like a champ no problems at all!

Msi is another great brand of gpu manufacturers.

from reading posts in this forum, the MSI for the 560ti is highly recommended by OCN'ers.

apparently the cooling is fantastic, espcially if you want to push it to its limits

sorry i cant help you out as much.

cheers.

560 ti

Pros: Runs cooler, uses less power

Cons: 2-way SLI only, 1gb of ram, slower than the 470

470

Pros: Faster card of the two, superior tessellation performance, 1.28gb of vram

Cons: Runs hotter, uses more power
