GTX 580 - Vga Chipset fan isn't functioning well!

Hello Overclockers.net.

I got a problem with my new arrivied GFX from Asus (DirectCU ii GTX 580), the problem happens when I startup a "heavy" game, something like Deus Ex, Crysis 2 you know, DirectX 11 engine's.
If it is only LoL (league of legends), no problem before I close the game.

Well my setup is:
CPU: Phenom II x6 1050T. @3.4 GhZ
PSU: NorthQ black magic 650W.
Ram: HyperX 8GB DDR2 1066MHz
GFX: Geforce GTX580 DCII 2DIS 1536MB (2 days old).
Harddisk: Samsung F1 750gb.
OS: Windows 7 64bit.

When I start a game like Deus Ex, I wait like 30sec and then I get this screen: http://peecee.dk/upload/view/331697/full

A Gpu-Z log: http://peecee.dk/upload/view/331699

I also got a bluescreen of death, here is the log for that: http://peecee.dk/upload/view/331703

If I set Hyperdrive and Smartcooling on, I can run OCCT GFX test for 20minutes. Picture here: http://peecee.dk/upload/view/331705
But still if I start Deus Ex the game will crash after 2 minutes.

Then I tried turning that off again and run a GPU TOOL Stability Test.
Then I get like 51224 Pixels mismatch.

I find it really strange that a new graphic card act like this.. Then I read something about the Overclocking cards from factory had this error and had to setup the volt a bit. like 0,25
Then I can run the games without any artifacts?

What do u guys suggest?
Should I make a RMA on the card?
I could really need some help? smile.gif

if you change the voltage, they can decide that they will not accept the return since you modified the card in some way. I had a friend recently go through a 580 and two 570s with similar problems. He ended up RMAing all of them and decided to go with a radeon 6970. Also, he later found out that part of the problem actually stemmed from an underperforming stick of RAM that was causing memory glitches then causing graphics failure (not memdump BSOD usually either).

I just came from a 5850 XXX Black Edition and never got anything like this. Only that the cards I owned from Ati simplied died after 1½year.
That was why I would try something new, (:

But should I talk to the company and get them to give me a new card?

Hey, im actually getting the same error as you.
Same card, different setup though.
But motherboard, CPU, RAM is brand new.

But im getting that error in all kinds of games, like WoW, and some other games that really dont require that amount of graphics.

No bluescreen though.
So im lost aswell what it might be.

Will contact the ones i bought it from, see if i can get a new one.
Or just get ATI instead.
