Just my opinion after owning them for a while.

I also used to use the Crystalliser, but with the AD700's I don't see the need any more.

Hope this helps.
Yeah, they do. Saying they're just fine for bass is wishful thinking. You can EQ the AD700s for maximum bass, leather pads, an amp and it still won't have sufficient bass. It's that way be design.

You don't need an amp for the AD700s. They're extremely easy to drive. You can run them straight from your Titanium HD.

They lack bass on your average computer sound setup, but when you listen to them through audiophile stuff with a great quality source and everything in between the source and the cans, they don't lack anything!! smile.gif

I'm not a basshead though. I don't listen to bassy music I guess.
Not really, they won't sound much different if at all through an amp. I'd like to know what "audiophile stuff" you're listening to. The DAC/AMP won't make these sound any bassier. They lack a lot, they're only 90 dollar headphones. They are what they are, you have to take them for what they offer at the price, but don't pretend they're great for all things. They're not.

Balanced is not what the AD700s are. They're bright. Their low end is weak. Their mids are a bit too high. It's not a perfect headphone. Definitely far from balanced.
