for a gamer like me who doesn't update drivers, would it favor me if i update drivers, especially on my graphics? are there any issues like, if you update your driver, some particular games won't run?

sooo noob. but your comments should help me

I always use updated drivers for eveything. Gfx drivers though, I use the most uptodate solid drivers.

thanks for the insights. the first time i formatted my rig, and i used driver genius to directly find the latest drivers, one of my games won't run.

i'm really sure where to put the blame though but when i format it again using the CDs, everything went fine.

well anyway, i could always roll back the driver if there'll be effects, right?

yea, I suggest going to your mobo manufacturers website and downloading the newest drivers from there and get the newest AMD drivers the same.

Ya updating your drivers can give you performance boosts on newer games. You need the most up to date drivers to use your card to its full potential.

Do not use Auto Update for graphics adapter. Just download and install the latest Catalyst 11.9 http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloa...n_win7-64.aspx

This driver is not going to improve your 3DMark 11 scores though.
