Maximus IV Extreme-Z BIOS

Thread Starter
Hi,
I've managed to get my hands on the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z, mainly for testing and such at the moment, but have noticed the BIOS is possibly old (02xx (01 in the xx perhaps? I can't remember without re-entering the BIOS)), anyway, I was wondering if either from user's experience of this motherboard, or from general consesus, whether it would be worth me upgrading the BIOS to the latest version given the differences between my current version and the newest one available?

If it's worth it, could it possibly improve overclocking ability (e.g. slightly lower vcore achievable at current o/c settings, or perhaps a slight boost in clock or increment in multiplier), or on the other hand if it's not worth it being that if the system is working fine don't bother updating it?

I imagine however it's worth upgrading to the latest beta BIOS. Just before I go ahead I'd like to hear what either those with this motherboard would say, or anyone in general who understands this stuff.

Also with the money I was originally considering using on buying this motherboard I instead bought a Corsair Graphite 600T White case which I must say is fantastic, just not sure whether I'd be better off getting another four fans and using the mesh version of the side window, or staying with the plastic transparent window so I can see in the case. Might post some pictures of the current setup soon.

Thanks.
