Bsod 5850

Thread Starter
Hey Guys,

I've read tons of people talking about this issue, but I can't find a solution:

I have an HD 5850 and many times, when I view videos online (Youtube mostly), I get a BSOD. Doesn't happen when viewing any other type of videos, just flash. No issues in games or anything else.
I have latest flash updates, driver updates, Windows updates...
This was already an issue 6 months ago, I hadn't used my PC since then but I'm surprised that the issue hasn't been resolved...

I have heard of similar issues with other Intel motherboards.....have you tried updating your BIOS?

Go to Youtube > right click > disable "hardware acceleration".

I have an AMD chipset - but yes, I have the latest BIOS updates.

I disabled hardware acceleration. I know I had already done this in the past. Perhaps updating Flash enabled that feature.
Hopefully that'll fix it. I feel kinda of silly when my gaming PC can't handle reading an internet video without crashing!!

I had the exact same problem with my 5850 and my previous 4770. Fixed it by turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox, not been a problem since.
