Hey guys, im about to purchase a build once my Old laptop sells (like a week) and I was hoping you guys could help me out with an evaluation. I already have the case though I bought it in advance (NZXT Phantom)

You're going to be hard pressed to find anyone on OCN, outside of hardcore AMD fanboys, that will recommend a BD processor right now. Especially when you take into account how much you are already spending on a GTX 580, Blu Ray drive, SSD, etc. It's just too far behind on most things AND more expensive than a 2500k. If you really must go AMD then I think the build looks ok. I would go with a Crucial M4 rather than the OCZ though.

Why the gtx580 extreme, you can get 2 HD6950,s 2GB that will demolish it for the same price

If you do decide to go Intel, maybe try a 2500k and a Asus P8P67 Pro. It is probably the most used 1155 motherboard on this site, so it will be easy to find help.

What are your main uses for this computer?

Also, unless you are running at a resolution higher than 1920x1200 or so then the 1.5 GB version of the 580 would be better.

2500k for gaming, in terms of mobos I found the Msi gd65 p67 to be a excellent mobo for the price
