Couple of questions about the FD Arc midi

Thread Starter
I've been through allot of reviews on the Fractal Design Arc Midi, and after I read them all, it turned out that it was 50/50 in regards to the stock cooling. Some reviews said the 3 fans were ultra-quiet and performed very well, even at 100%, some said they were less than ideal for the case, some said they weren't very quiet, and some said that max 1000rpm on the fans isn't good enough.

So due to the very mixed opinions from the reviewers, I'm stuck on what to think about the stock cooling in this case... apart from that, this case seems quite outstanding.

So any first hand experience feedback from Arc Midi users would be appreciated.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong (?) but It seems that this case doesn't come with standoffs, which is no big deal.

Thanks.

That case is very nice.

The TOP HDD can be removed which is something that I look for in a case as it means you can push clean air to the cpu cooler and GPU area.

For coolers you fit what ever you like since that case is like 8" wide.

It should definatly come with stand offs.

Hmm, that's what I thought about the standoffs, but there was no sight of them at all in the reviews :/

I know I can fit case coolers, but for now, I wanted stock to be fairly good as I'm not buying any fans to replace the stock ones just yet, especially when my order for components is already on it's way.

I believe they come in the little white accessory box. Plus, standoffs should be a norm by now. If not, you can go complain to them.

Yeah, it certainly is the norm. It's no big deal as I can just pick some up, but gonna' try and find out if they come with the case first, so I don't make unneeded trips, if I decide on this case of course.

Anyway, the stock cooling is what I was mainly inquiring about to be honest, the standoffs can be sorted easily.

I own an Arc Midi and there were standoffs on it when I received it. And about the fans, they are quiet! But move extremely little air. One of the fans (top) have started to make a ticking sound, which I find annoying.
