I personally don't think that cheaping out on your case is something you will end up being happy with. A good case can last you multiple builds, but a cheap one will just cause headaches and leave you wanting a new one asap. you could easily save around 20 dollars on your memory, and then pocket the saved money to make up for your case being more expensive. if you want to save 10 more dollars on the case the CM 690 II advanced is also great

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820231311

there you go, only slightly looser timings and speeds, nothing you will ever be able to see in any conceivable scenario. 20 dollars saved.

ok, thanks for your advices. I've got a flash! I have one of these in my Inspiron 530, I could use it and save 100 bucks.

That's certainly a possibility, as long as the drive is functioning properly.

It's just a box that holds the components.

After you build in a case, you rarely mess with it again unless you're constantly upgrading every time something new comes out. Most people just do their build and do minimal upgrades over the coarse of a couple years. Any of the cases I listed have more than enough features to provide him with anything he'd need, at a cheaper price tag.

I recommend this PSU: its 50W less but its still overkill , it has better efficiency (80+ Bronze) and its $15 cheaper.

Also I second the recommendation on the NZXT Gamma. Can't find another good case at this price point.

This PSU does not come with any cable since it's ''Green''

It doesn't come with a power cable. you know, one of those things that most people have like 8 of laying around? I personally have somewhere in the 40s of them lying around my house.
