Rate my server please open to suggestions

Thread Starter
I've been looking more into servers now and I've finally put together an okay list of parts. I already have a case so thats a bit of money saved. I'd like to know your guys opinions on this. I'm open to suggestions but I would like to keep it an Intel build. Thanks!

fist think comes to mind is what do you plan on using the server for. for the ssd i keep seeing the M4 recommended and it's still cheaper then the oz without a MIR (link below). i never liked roswell let alone their psu's, the Antec neoECO 520 should do and its on the good list(link below). do you really need a dvd burner for a server? once you have the os installed you shouldn't need it so you could just steal it out of your sig for a few hours shouldn't hurt and save you $20. and for the cooler xigmateck loki sd963 (link below) would save you $10

Sorry I'm back now I would just rather have all the necessities (personal pref) and thanks for the recommendation on the CPU cooler. I didn't know what one to get.

For now it will be a Minecraft server and website server. Later on after highschool it will be used as a business server.

for minecraft you could go with a "Ram disk" and have the minecraft server save every 10-15min. if you do i would also get some sort of ups so that it can shut off properly.

if you really wanna save some money you could just go with a i3 1155 set up and not the server grade stuff. that would shave a good $125 off.

I believe the Xeon E-12x5 (with builtin graphics) is only useful if you have get a C206 board. That board has a dedicated video chip and is suited for a E-12x0 CPU.

You can save a bit of power and money going with a E1240 instead (or 1230).
