ASUS Radeon HD 6870 in a Centurion 5

Thread Starter
I am buying an ASUS Radeon HD 6870 that will go into a COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 chassis. Does anyone have this card in this chassis? Does it fit correctly? I don't feel like measuring at the moment and would probably get a better answer on here anyway. Let me know.

From what I've seen online, it will most likely not fit or be an incredibly close fit. From what I've seen the case has just about 11" or just under, of room for graphics cards. However, the specific ASUS card you have picked is longer than other brands because it has a very large non-reference cooler,it measures 11" long whereas other brands measure anywhere between 8.5" to 9.5" which will be able to fit comfortably.

This is a picture of a 9" PowerColer HD6870 in a Centurion 5:

The case in the pic is most certainly not a Centurion 5. The real Centurion 5 is a fairly old design with no top fan grille and a top-mounted PSU. That being said, I agree that it would be a close fit. When I had that case there about an inch of clearance for the video card (the Radeon 4850 I had was just under 10".)
