2500k bios temp was 55-60 degrees windows idle was 38.... disregard what BIOS says. I am willing to bet once you install an OS and boot into it your idle temp is 35-40.

lol, OBVIOUSLY there can be a need to take the cpu out the socket, thus the more you do so the likely hood of causing damage to the pins increases! so its a good idea to keep it in there until such time arises!

i'm not saying NEVER take it out, just try not to!
