Saw http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/storage/2009/10/06/samsung-spinpoint-f3-1tb-review/3

and it says average read is about 125mb so its a 35mb improvement. Guess I'll do it. biggrin.gif Thanks for the help everyone smile.gif

Is the best price/performance drive actually. I personally would stay away from the Samsung F3. Also Western Digital has better customer service and a longer warranty.

The Hitachi is the quickest drive out right now.
