Welcome.

An i5 2500k and a quality P67 board will do. It's up to you if you want to reuse the 1333MHz DDR3 or go 1600MHz+.

Everything else in your current system looks great. If you sell the 965 and Crosshair you might be able to fit an i7 2600k in the budget, but if gaming is your main concern (looks like it with 3x 6950's), then the i5 will be fine.

Now, If you really want to notice a difference, drop a couple of Crucial M4's in raid.

I like the sabertooth and the Asrock however I have read mixed reviews on the Asrock when it comes to OCing? The 2600k was something I was definatly interested in for the folding benefits.also I will no longer need tri-fire mobo. soon to be only one 6950

Edit:Is there a big difference between p67 and z68

The mobo is really personal choice/taste. I like the sabertooth some dont.
If you go with some Asus or some gigabyte UDX it should be fine. Look into the new features of Z68.
Maybe you "need" /use some of them. Otherwise a P67 will be fine.

You could allways upgrade the RAM later. For a "quick" build it is just fine. If you wallet is recovering you can still go into 1866ish RAM.
All the rest is fine.
So you will need only a mobo and a CPU. (and a fresh install of windows)

I'll see if I can find some reviews on that ASrock. Looks very good for ~$120. And although I've never used any of their boards, I have seen quite a few members here rocking ASrock mobos.

Personally, I like the Gigabyte.

And +1 for the 2600k. It's on the wishlist for my next build.

If I went 2500k to save some money how would this setup work?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231460

This would turn out to be a lot cheaper than i thought! I could keep two of my gpu's and still be able to get decent fps in eyefinity!

edit: Is anyone sure about the OC abilities of this board?

That board should overclock just fine. The reviewers had said they hit 5Ghz with it.
