Is this a stable/good OC?

Thread Starter
Hello all, I've recently purchased a new ASROCK 890 GX Pro 3, and was wondering if my OC is good.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2049831

Also, my core temp idles around 70F, and goes up to 115F-125F while gaming. Also, are my MB temps to be concerned about? The max I have seen it go up to is 135F. Anything to worry about?

Thanks in advanced.

EDIT: Also, HWMonitor and speedfan are saying AUX/AUXTIN are at like 260F. Anything I should worry about?

Looks like a decent overclock, have you run any stability tests yet? Prime95 or Intel Burn Test, etc? I can *run* my CPU at 4.2 or 4.3, but its not stable by any means. Also, what voltages are you running? Your load temp under prime95 or IBT will probably be much higher than 125F, just something to think about

Note: I'm not an expert, but I think these are things that the community will ask to give you more feedback

Yes, I've run prime95 for 30 mins. Max temp was 127~133F.'

EDIT: my voltage is 1.45v

If you want to be 100% if your PC is stable enough go download Prime95 and let it run for 2 hours. I advice you to not use your pc in that time frame. If it didnt reboot and has a nice temp then your good

Most people will say that you need to run Prime95 blend for between 12-24 hours straight with no errors to call it rock solid stable. I am trying to break through 16 hours with my overclock right now.

Whats your CPU's default voltage? 1.45v seems high for my world to get a 500mhz overclock, but I have only played with the thuban. on mine, I was able to get a 400mhz overclock on stock voltage, or just a tad higher

Well, I don't need 100% stable, just enough so that my computer doesn't reboot when I use it. But anyways, my default was 1.4v, and I could get it to 3.5GHz with that, but no more, so I just went into bios and bumped it up to 1.45v for testing. But yeah, I could mess with it after I finish the essay I should be writing right now.

Oh ok, if your stock is 1.4 and you are at 1.45 thats not a big bump... I would suggest letting prime95 run overnight one evening just to make sure you dont get anything wonky in a 8-10 hour timeframe for peace of mind, but I wouldnt anticipate any issues, it sounds like you have a somewhat mild overclock

You really do want it 100% stable.

Yeah, I'm not looking to do a super hardcore OC, just to get it running a little faster to make up for lack of L3 Cache.

Strange things can happen if youre note 100%...

ie - when you apply a windows update, the CPU says that 2+2=5, then with that incorrect math it would write a system file during the update or something along those lines. Data degradation I think it is called.
