4 tb raid array windows install problems

I'm having a nightmare trying to get a 4tb raid array to work with windows 7.

I have the UEFI motherboard
I converted the volume to GPT
And I'm using 64 bit windows.

I've tried this several ways and they are as follows:

1) Inserted windows Dvd, used shift+F10 and convert drive to gpt, on attempt to format it will throw an error and convert it to a 2.2tb drive and go back to MBR.

2) tried formatting the drive to efi, then windows says it can not install on a gpt partition nor can it install on an efi partition.

3) tried installing from a usb drive with the same results.

Anyone have any insight?

Alright so I got it to work, and windows 7 instantly became 40 times worse than windows ME.

It freezes while installing anything.
SSD caching isn't even a selection option anymore.
Randomly it will say I have 6 gigabytes of free storage left when I really have only used 30 gigs.

I'm going to try doing all windows updates before I give up and do it the way I was before.

Edit: Update, so a microsoft KB article matched the problems I was having, and so far it has stopped being such a POS. perhaps ill write a faq on how to install on a 2.2TB+ partition soon, it's certainly not as easy as popping in the disc and going.
