I got my meter today and posted it over in that thread, but here it is again:

2500K @ 4.6GHz @ 1.30V . Maximus IV GENE-Z . (2) 1.5V Memory . (2) GTX 580 @ 787MHz @ 1.025V . HDD . SSD . Optical Drive . (7) ~5W Fans . MCP35X Pump . Corsair AX1200 @ 88% Eff.

Max Values:
Idle : 166W -> 88% = 146.08W
Prime95 Only (Large FFT) : 245W -> 88% = 218.24W
Furmark Only : 712W -> 88% = 626.56W
Prime95 and Furmark : 782W -> 88% = 688.16W
Game (Witcher 2) : 585W -> 88% = 514.80W
Game (Metro 2033) : 501W -> 88% = 440.88W

Yup! It was dead silent even while I came up with those numbers above.

Sorry, I wouldn't know... I only have 2 slots (Micro ATX board) and 2 cards to try.

If the cards scale linearly, I would guess that 3x 580s would look something like:

Furmark Only : ~985W -> 88% = 866.80W
Prime95 and Furmark : ~1055W -> 88% = 928.40W

like others said 1200W is COMPLETE overkill for 2x sli

also if possible, just buy some extension cables for mouse/KB...monitor, and put rig on the other side of room behind something
