ASrock Z68 Extreme7?

I was thinking of this board since I am now out of room with expansion slot on my board and I will want to add another 6970 and be able to run a sound card at the same time. This board says it can run the new IVY bridge CPUs and also has the PCIe 3.0 allowing you to run X16/x8/x8 trifire mode. That seems like a nice feature. The spacing on the slots is a little weird though. IT comes with SLI bridges of 2 different lengths. I do not think they will work for AMD cards, correct? I will want ot upgrade to Ivy at some point. Unless there is a better board with this many PCIe x16 slots that will not regulate a third card lower than x8.

No they are for SLI only. Most mobo makers dont put CF bridges in the box because most AMD cards come with a bridge .

hey you can't run SLI on that board with PCI-E 3.0, only one slot on that board can run PCI-E 3.0.

Get a PCI-E 3.0 ready non-NF200 containing board, on that uses the last 16x/4x slot from the PCH with 2.0.

The only thing is is if it downgrades the second card to x4 that will not work for eyefinity res from everything I have read review wise. Also I am not looking to run SLI but Trifire AMD cards.
